The assemble and disassemble of excavator track shoes, track roller, carrier roller, idler and other accessories

I. track shoe

Disassemble

1. Move the track shoe until the king pin moves to the top of the guide wheel, and put the wooden block to the corresponding position.

2. Loosen the track shoe. When the grease valve is released and the track shoe is still not loosened, move the excavator back and forth.

3. Remove the king pin with a suitable tool.

4. Slowly move the excavator in the opposite direction to make the track shoe assembly flat on the ground. Lift up the excavator and use wooden blocks to support the lower part. When the track shoe is flat on the ground, the operator should not approach the sprocket to avoid injury.

Install

Install in the reverse order of disassembly and adjust the tension of the track.

II. Carrier Roller

Disassemble

1. Loosen the track shoe

2. Lift the track shoe to a sufficient height so that the carrier roller can be removed.

3. Loosen the lock nut.

4. Use a screwdriver to remove the bracket from the inside to the outside, and then remove the carrier roller assembly. The mass is 21kg.

III. Track roller

Disassemble

1. Loosen the track shoe.

2. Use the working device to support the crawler frame at one end to be disassembled.

3. Remove the mounting bolts and take out the supporting wheels. The mass is 39.3kg.

Ⅳ.Idler

Disassemble

1. Remove the track shoe. For details, see the chapter on disassembling track shoes.

2. Lift the tension spring and use a crowbar to remove the guide wheel and the tension spring from the track frame. The mass is 270kg.

3. Remove the bolts and gaskets and separate the Idler from the tension spring.

Install

Ensure that the protruding part of the tensioning cylinder rod is installed in the cylinder of the crawler frame.
