The working environment of large-tonnage excavators is mainly open-pit mines, and the operating conditions are harsh. In April 2018, the large-tonnage undercarriag parts production line with an annual production capacity of more than 1,400 sets was officially put into use, which indicates that XCMG has the self-control ability of the core process of the large-tonnage ; in October 2018, XCMG's 200-ton The excavator with undercarriage parts has successfully rolled off the production line, and has obtained the independent design of super large tonnage based on the adaptability of working conditions, the final forging of large tonnage chain rail joints, and the overall quenching of the entire tooth surface of large driving wheels, etc. A number of key technological breakthroughs have once again deeply interpreted the gold standard connotation of "leading technology, indestructible" made into handicrafts.

In the research and development process of the undercarriage parts for 200-ton excavators, the XCMG technical team aimed at the stress distribution and anti-fatigue design gaps in the actual working conditions of the undercarriage parts  of large excavators, fully carried forward the spirit of craftsmanship, and bravely climbed the technological peak. The secondary product simulation and rigid-flexible coupling analysis finally completed the load analysis of the undercarriage parts full working condition, and drew inspiration from the material universal testing machine and the working principle of the CNC lathe, creatively developed the quantitative analysis of the floating oil surface pressure and the dynamic reliability Sexual testing equipment, breaking the technology monopoly of foreign brands.

Facing the dilemma that there is no experience to follow in the forging of the largest excavator chain rail link in China, the technical team independently developed and manufactured the chain rail link forging mold, and developed the one-time final forging forming technology for the ultra-large pitch chain rail link for the first time in China, completely overcoming Industry technical problems such as folding and lack of meat for chain rail link forgings. In order to obtain a high-reliability driving wheel with high strength and toughness of the matrix and high wear resistance of the tooth surface, the technical team developed a new material of high hardenability Mn-Cr-Mo cast steel, independently designed and manufactured a "composite" heat treatment sensor, and conducted many researches. The power segmented heating process breaks through the technical problem of overall quenching of the entire tooth surface of the large drive wheel in one fell swoop, reaching the international advanced level.
