If muddy water enters the rollers, it will seriously affect its performance and affect the working performance of the whole machine. Therefore, its sealing is required to be reliable.

 

The composition of the track roller

Figure 3.3 shows a typical structure of a roller. It is made up of wheel body 9, end cover 2, axle 3, axle sleeve 4, floating oil seal 5, floating oil seal ring 6, pin 8 etc. This is a standardized structural form, which is a straight-axis structure. This kind of shaft has a compact structure and simple manufacturing process, but it also has its own disadvantages, such as a small axial force bearing capacity, and generally speaking, it can be used in excavators. The shaft of the roller does not rotate in it, and the roller is locked on the track frame by virtue of the fixing of the two axle seats. The wheel body is welded, and the flange on the edge of the wheel clamps the track so that the track will not slip. The wheel body has a shaft and a shaft sleeve. The strength of the shaft sleeve is very high. This is because the tin bronze alloy coating layer is selected as the material when making the roller.

3 Typical structure of a roller

In order to ensure the cleanliness of the roller part, a floating oil seal structure is often used. The structure of the floating seal is compact and the working effect is excellent, so it is favored by many enterprises and manufacturers. The floating seal type consists of a metal oil seal ring and an O-ring. O-rings are set on the oil seals, and the oil seals do not rotate and are fixed on the shaft seat. The sealing ring is fixed in the groove of the shaft seat. When the sealing ring is compressed, it will produce a certain elastic deformation, so that the sections of the two oil sealing rings are always close to each other. Such a design will have a compact structure and realize the function of preventing muddy water from entering.
